Waaaaaah!
Ubuntu still doesn’t do sound.
It’s seeing my card just fine. Alsamixer says everything’s at reasonable levels.
So it’s probably the same problem I have in XP. The motherboard just doesn’t known which soundhole to pump the noise out of.
